Preliminary introduction of Vents (1971)

It did not take place until the second year of the series of the world of poker which a real program of the events was presented, with a principal event -- the no-limit hold them the tournament with which the WSOP concluded -- and preliminary events in which the other shapes of poker were played. Four preliminary events were played in 1971, all the plays of limit: pin of five-chart, pin of seven-chart, razz, and ace--five with the aspiration. Just a preliminary event was played in 1972 (pin of five-chart), then multiple preliminary events were again reported the following year. The preliminary program of event gradually increased during the years, just rising handle of events at the beginning with 12 (1977), to 20 (1993), to 34 (2002), to 44 (2005), 54 (2007), and 56 (2009). While the principal event continues to accentuate the program and to attract the majority of attention, the many preliminary events undoubtedly helped the form how the WSOP is often considered, namely, a series of tournaments examining the qualifications of the players in a crowd of various plays of poker.
